USMBA LAW FIRM/CORPORATE MEMBERSHIPS NOW AVAILABLE

The USMBA is pleased to announce that, in addition to the membership categories previously available and which will continue to be available, Silver and Gold memberships for law firms and corporate legal departments are now available. The dues and benefits for each of these new membership categories are as follows.

Silver membership - $1,000 per year:

Silver members receive all of the basic benefits of individual members plus the following additional Silver benefits:

a) eight memberships [at the regular price eight memberships would cost $1,200];

b) if a firm or corporation already has one or more members, it will only have to pay for the additional memberships required to equal eight, e.g. if a firm has two current members they get a credit of $300, pay $700 and get six more members;

c) if a firm/corporation signs up for a law firm/corporate membership on or before 31 July 2008 and that firm/corporation has current individual members and switches to a firm membership, all members[including previously enrolled members] will have their membership year run for 12 months including the month in which the firm enrolls to become a firm member;

d) the firm is to designate the firm representative with whom the USMBA will correspond ;

e) the firm is to designate the eight members of the firm[inclusive of the firm representative] who are to be listed as members of the USMBA, be placed on committees, and receive the USMBA newsletter;

f) at such USMBA events where there is a difference listed for USMBA members and non-USMBA members, the first eight persons from the firm that register for the event will be treated as USMBA members whether or not they are the same persons listed as members for purposes of receiving the USMBA newsletter and serving on committees;

g) law firm/corporate member will be listed on the USMBA website , in the newsletter, and in the annual conference and regional/mini conference materials

h) will be recognized as a group at the USMBA annual meeting lunch.

Gold membership - $2,500 per year:

Gold members receive all of the basic benefits of individual members, plus all of the benefits of Silver members, plus the following additional Gold benefits:

a) Individual recognition at the USMBA annual meeting lunch;

b) one free registration and one guest pass for all ticketed events at the USMBA annual conference;

c) one representative from the firm will be invited to attend all USMBA Board meetings in which committee chairs are also invited to participate;

d) one representative from the firm will be invited to attend any USMBA organized by invitation only private receptions for dignitaries in which all Board members are invited;

e) Gold members will receive a 10% rebate for any fees paid by the firm for a job posting on the USMBA Career Center;

f) A link will be posted from USMBA website to the firm/corporate home page.

To sign up for a Silver or Gold law firm/corporate membership please fill out and submit the Law Firm/Corporate Membership Application on behalf of your organization.  Each individual that you want covered by this firm/corporate membership must also fill out and submit an Individual Membership Application.
